A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

AI Mastermind is a puzzle game about building a brain — literally.

There's no machine learning, no neuroevolution here. You place neurons on a grid — sensors, logic, and outputs — and drag connections between them, tuning each weight by hand. Your agent's behavior is 100% deterministic: it does exactly what you wired it to do. No more, no less.

Guide your agent through a maze from entrance to exit, avoiding lasers, traps, and — on some levels — an enemy AI with its own separate brain, running in parallel with yours.

What's in the demo:

  • Build and rewire your own neural network by hand — no coding, just drag-and-drop logic
  • A growing toolbox of neurons: movement, sensors, logic gates, teleporters, dash, counters, and more
  • Boss levels with hand-crafted enemy brains that actually think
  • Hack a defeated enemy AI's brain and turn it into your ally
  • Chests, a Merchant, upgrades, and a full inventory economy to grow your capabilities
  • Checkpoints so you can experiment without losing progress

This is an early prototype/demo — the full scope of the game is still undecided. If you enjoy it, wishlisting/following really helps decide whether this grows into a full campaign.

Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Install instructions

Unzip fully, then run the executable inside the extracted "AI Mastermind" folder (don't run it from inside the zip).

Windows: SmartScreen will block it on first launch since it's not code-signed — click "More info" → "Run anyway" (only needed once).

macOS: the build isn't notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper will block it on first launch — right-click the app → Open, then confirm "Open" in the dialog (only needed once).
